Business Basics: Our Country- Technology & Innovation (Grade 4)



Our Country – Technology and Innovation engages elementary school students in activities to define new ideas for business and society by learning about our technological past and present. Enter the next generation of creativity and invention.

Build A Better Tomorrow

Lead an exploration of our major business sectors and the contributions of Canadian inventors. Our Country - Technology and Innovation helps students discover the value and necessity of change in economic and social progress. New trends build a future of inspiring concepts and entrepreneurial ideas. Our path to a better tomorrow begins today.

  • Draw the connections between traditional and modern technologies
  • Match Canadian inventions with those who developed them
  • Bid to bring new technologies to market in a class auction

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Volunteers make 4 one-hour visits to the classroom to facilitate each of the above lessons. Training and all teaching materials are provided by Junior Achievement to prepare you for a dynamic classroom experience.
